Hello Roosevelt!
My name is Mr. Dane Sallaska.
I have the distinct honor of being the principal at Roosevelt Elementary! The majority of my professional experience has taken place in Stillwater, Oklahoma where I taught English language learners, 4th Grade, and 5th Grade. I have worked as a school administrator for the past several years at both the elementary and junior high levels. I have earned a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Oklahoma State University and a master’s degree in Educational Administration from Southwestern Oklahoma State University. I am currently working toward completing a Doctorate of Education (Ed. D) degree at Southwestern College in Winfield, Kansas. I am married to my best friend, Jody, who is a rockstar Pre-K teacher. Together we have two beautiful children, Ella and Hilton.
If there is anything you should know about me you should know that above all things I love and value our students, staff, and school families. Connecting with people is, perhaps, the most important and valuable part of my work. I welcome the opportunity to grow and develop relationships with students. I encourage parent phone calls, emails, and face-to-face visits when possible. As a staff, our Roosevelt team believes that the social part of school is equally as valuable as the academic portion. I encourage parent contact and communication so we can collectively consider the best way(s) to make sure that your student is successful each day in both areas. I am always accessible to you, as necessary, via email, phone, or face-to-face. It is going to be a great year, Roosevelt! Thank you for endeavoring to partner with our school and staff to ensure student success in all areas!
